There are really no set rules for the clothing you choose. Try to keep it simple and comfortable especially when dressing young children. People do best when they are comfortable and relaxed and feel good about what they are wearing. Solid matching colors are popular because of their classic and simple style. Yet, colors and patterns can be fun and add a creative flair – but be careful, you don’t want your clothes to be too over-powering! In order to create a sense of harmony and balance in group portraits – all subjects’ clothing should coordinate and blend. Sleeve lengths should be similar as should the clothing style. Keep the seasons in mind…clothes should coordinate seasons as well. Feel free to bring along a change of clothing if you are unsure.
